Madinah Hotel to Madinah Airport by private taxi
Leaving Madinah is rarely easy, and nobody wants to be wondering about the airport run on the same morning as a last visit to the Prophet’s Mosque. A pre-booked taxi from your Madinah hotel to the airport means the ride is already sorted when you wake up.
The airport is about 25 km away, roughly half an hour by road. We still advise leaving earlier than that sounds. Traffic around the mosque thickens after prayers, and hotel lifts and luggage trolleys take time when a whole group checks out at once.
Getting from your Madinah hotel to MED
Your driver collects you at the hotel door, or the nearest point vehicles are allowed, then heads out through the city to the airport road. The journey is straightforward and mostly on wide roads.
For international flights we suggest leaving about four hours before departure, and about three for domestic ones. That covers the drive, check-in queues and security with a little spare.
Tips before you travel
- Settle your hotel bill and return keys the evening before so the morning stays calm.
- Buy dates and gifts the day before rather than on the morning of the flight, and keep them in your hand luggage if the airline allows.
