Jeddah Airport to Madinah Airport by private taxi
A lot of Umrah itineraries are one-way: you fly into Jeddah and home from Madinah, or the other way round, so nobody has to backtrack. Between the two airports lie about 420 km of highway, and our private taxi from Jeddah Airport to Madinah Airport covers it in a single drive with no change of vehicle.
It also suits travellers who land in Jeddah and have an onward domestic flight from Madinah the same day. Tell us both flight times and we work out whether the timing holds. A tight connection can be risky on a four and a half hour road.
Airport to airport: what to plan for
The road from Jeddah to Madinah is a modern highway with service areas at intervals. Driving takes four and a half hours without stops, so allow around five and a half for the journey, longer in heavy traffic or when a prayer stop is needed.
If you have a connecting flight, leave a comfortable margin. The driver can only set off once you are through immigration and baggage, and check-in at Madinah closes well before departure.
Tips before you travel
- We do not recommend a connecting flight less than eight hours after you land in Jeddah.
- Have both flight numbers ready when you message us.
- Travelling with a lot of luggage? Tell us and we choose a vehicle with a larger boot.
